The Water Federation's mandate is to act as a forum for member co-ops to share information and experiences, and to act as a conduit and sounding board for the government before new regulations and/or legislation are implemented.

Membership Costs:
Initial Fee – $100

Annual Renewal Fees:
Are due January 1st of each year at $9.00 per service connection with no minimum or maximum rate per Co-op or Association.

Together We Are Stronger

On behalf of its members, the Alberta Federation of Rural Water Co-operatives participates in an insurance program provided by the Rural Municipalities of Alberta. It can be difficult to buy insurance for a small water utility at a reasonable rate. By combining the assets and risk profile of the Water Federation membership, we are able to reliably offer appropriate insurance at a reasonable cost to our members.
