The purpose of this workshop is to empower AFRWC board members to create and maintain safe and healthy workplaces within their cooperatives. As stewards of community water systems, you play a critical role not only in providing water but also in ensuring the safety and well-being of the workers and volunteers who help make that possible.
This is not your typical lecture-based course. Instead, this workshop is designed to be interactive and activity driven. Through shared discussions and practical exercises, participants will explore real-world examples drawn from their own cooperatives as well as those of others. A key feature of this workshop is the use of a workbook and comprehensive checklists, designed to guide and support board members in aligning with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) expectations.
